Huge respect to Joe Frazier. He never gave up even if he should

Remember, everytime Joe knocked down he stood back 💪.

Joe was a pressure fighter and usually took a few rounds to start Smokin, Foreman would overwhelm with his size and power. A similar situation when Hearns fought Duran. When Boxers actually sought out the best opponents ❤

It’s impressive what foreman did to Frazier, but most people forgot what made that fight so great in my eyes, and that is Frazier raising up every time before the ref was even able to go to Frazier to count at him, this is not what a weak jaw looks like, getting hit by foreman and staying awake after taking these shots and still wanting to continue shows how elite and tough this guy was
Few people managed to get up against foreman, nobody fought him twice and got up everytime he was sent down
R.I.P to one of the greatest heavyweights of all time💨

Crazy how Frazier took all those hits from one of the hardest punchers in heavyweight history

George Foreman vs Mike Tyson would have been one heck of a match.

I remember the best comment on a video about the three legends. They were basically rock, paper, scissors of that era.

Notice Foreman lands every time, and notice none was to the body. That's life changing, they were unknowingly trying to kill each other back then lol

I watched that fight on a black & white TV, on a Saturday on ABC's wide world of sports and the late Howard Cosell was broadcasting the event, or better yet...blow by blow....In his own words "Frazier goes down, Frazier goes down!!"....That was early 1973 and I was a young 14yr old...Joe Frazier was NO push over, I don't think he was in shape for that fight. 50yrs later, watching the highlights of that bout, it breaks my heart because I KNEW Frazier was a much better fighter than he his performance displayed...RIP

Fireman's power was unbelievable. Even his jab was like a tomahawk missile but that right hand was an atom bomb

Giants, absolute giants. This is why Ali is the GOAT.

Let's not kid ourselves here. Forget about Joe's first fight with Ali. The Joe that took out Ellis, Quarry and Mathis was a different animal than the guy who fought George in 73. Eddie Futch was very worried about the title defense against George because the training camp in Jamaica was a huge party. It wasn't serious at all. He said Joe never took an opponent so lightly and with such disregard for his skills and his gold medal win as he treated George.

I wish there was a fight between Foreman and Shavers during the 70s. That would be hell of a fight.
Ironically, Ali has fought Shavers, Foreman, Frazier, Norton but there were NO fights between :
1) foreman vs Shavers
2) Frazier vs Shavers
3) Frazier vs Norton.

Frazier was the undefeated, undisputed, 29-0 heavyweight champion of the world, favored 4-1 in this fight.

Fraser was never the same after the Ali fight. Even though he beat Ali, he spent serious time in the hospital and was never able to work out as hard as he needed to due to his blood pressure. All three of those guys were legends.

When i saw this fight, i wondered if this was the same Joe Frazier, who could take hundred punches from The Greatest Mohammad Ali and not get hurt!
