Pregnant moms don't transmit Covid-19 to babies: study

According to a new study by researchers at Huazhong University of Science and Technology in China, the novel coronavirus does not get transmitted from pregnant mothers to newborn babies at birth. The study is the second one out of China in the last month to confirm that mothers infected with Covid-19 during pregnancy did not pass the virus to their babies. The research, was carried out on four women who gave birth at Wuhan's Union Hospital while being infected. None of the infants developed any serious symptoms associated with the virus, such as fever or cough, though all were initially isolated in neonatal intensive care units and fed formula. All four infants are now healthy, and their mothers have also fully recovered.
