Some know they want to be priests from an early age. I didn't. I ran from the idea even after I joined the friars. But I learned something that made it all make sense.

This was something I needed to hear today as a 74 year old, 48 year ordained priest ! God made you flour and oil for me today. Thank you for being who you are with God!

I've been torn as of late, feeling particularly called but also particularly unworthy and unqualified. I'm a 21-year-old guy. Please pray for my discernment

Dallas Jenkins, creator of the Chosen, often says something similiar. "I don't have to feed the 5000, I just need to provide the loaves and fish."

Fr. Casey, you are one of the most pure-hearted priests out there. Glad to have you in the Church, we need more people like you 🙏

When my aunt died, the priest who performed the service at the cemetery, was very old. His son helped him with the service. The priest was married, raised a family, and became a priest after the death of his wife. You never know when you will be called!

I am a Protestant chaplain, and I found this video very relatable. You certainly have a way with words, and I think your content would be encouraging to people wherever they are on their journey with God. Thank you for serving the church!

I'm the son of a priest in an Oreintal Church. Our Church is structured in a way that everyone has close relationships with each other in their respective parishes. As the son of a priest, I was blessed and privileged to be within the love of so many people. A new set of people every 3 years as my father was transferred to a different parish. At the same time I was in a strong mental pressure to follow my father's foot steps. Everyone saw my father in me, everytime someone saw me people used to call me the next priest, Junior Father. They were doing this out of love for my father, but in time I started to hate the priesthood.

Only during my late teens did I start reverting back to the Church. I was still confused as to my calling so I did secular studies in finance and investment. I just turned 25 and now I am clear as to where God wants me to go. I will start my theological studies in 2022 if God wills. I hope I can do my best for Him and the Holy Church.

Amazing timing for me personally. I will be joining the Society of St. Francis (SSF) in England early next year and you do ponder the questions you discussed. Great stuff!

I'm 23, came back to the church after being a hardcore atheist and hostile to the idea of religion. Catholicism now guides every decision i make, i can't imagine living without Christ. Thank you father, words can't express how grateful i am for having you making such amazing content that i can share with my friends.

My father was in the seminary, he only had a few months left before he became a Jesuit priest. He was still working at the time as a metal worker- 200ft above the ground and he saw my mom walk by and that was it. He said that it wasn’t hard to leave, he felt that god understood he could do his works just in a different way. May my father Rest In Peace but he helped so many people in rehabs, and helped so many addicts, god chose him for that.

Twice in my life as a lay person I have given away everything I own except the clothes on my back. While I am poor by earthly standards, I am blessed. I can say from experience that giving until you have no choice but to trust God is liberating. Seeing God take my little bit and use it to his own purpose goes a long way to ease the day to day worries about what tomorrow may bring: feast or famine, doesn't matter. I might live to be 100, or I might die tomorrow, either way, I'm ready for what comes my way.

Reading that thumbnail and then hearing that opening line was hilarious! As someone who’s currently discerning I appreciate the timing of this video, God bless Father!

Fr Casey you have inspired me in ways you’ll never know. I’m still struggling in my relationship to the Catholic Church but my faith in God is stronger than ever. Love and peace from the UK.

I wanted to be a priest from about age 5-18. But I didn't study, discern or anything. Then I discovered my Alcoholism and allowed myself to get consumed by this sinful world. But I am very thankful to be back to Catholicism. Anyway, this is another great video by Fr. Casey.

Not a priest but a church musician here. I have long been a church musician. Part of the worship team. Lately an opening came up to be the worship leader. I was terrified of the responsibility (still am in some ways) but, I felt God calling me to step up. So glad I did. I love leading the congregation in worship through song. Thank you Father Casey. This video touched my heart this morning. Be blessed Brother.

Fr. Casey,
Your videos helped me enter the fullness of the faith on October 23, 2021 with my dad. Even before my confirmation, I have been pondering the priesthood since April. I want to desire the Lord’s will more deeply and follow faithfully. Glory to Christ!

In glad that I came across this video. Thank you Fr. Casey. So profound. This video, having a calling, is making me think as to why I'm called to serve. God bless.

Thank you for your nice words Father. Hopefully many can understand their calling, your testimony may play a role in that. I myself will receive my ordination to the priesthood this Saturday. It's truly a beautiful life.
