One of my favorite oil pastels along with sennelier and mungyo! Love to combine all the three sets. Thank you for another great review!

I agree with your review….Neopastels are my first choice. I have a set of 12 Sennelier to use “on top” of my work. They are gorgeous but are like lipstick. I also have the Gallery set, very affordable, good quality and great for beginners.

Thanks for posting this. I first bought Pentels, which were awful to blend. Then I purchased the Gallery set, which I love. They are so smooth. I also purchased one white Neopastel from Caran D’ache. If I could afford all Neopostels, that’s what I would do, but the Gallery set is great for the money.

Hey Syndia
Did u try Jaxon, Paul Rubens, Holbein oil pastels ?
Jaxon has two kind of oil pastels 11 and 18 mm large . They seems good value for Money as Rubens, but not so professional

Holbein Square shape super expensive i don t know why

In my experience i tried several brands include Italian maimeri oil pastels

Good overview. I use Neocolors and like them but wish for darker values. Do oil pastels rub off easily? Or can you fill a sketchbook with them no problem?

Please review the Paul Rubens oil pastels. Lots of youtubers are talking about them, I'd like to hear your opinion.

Où les as-tu acheté? J'en cherche et j'en trouve pas nulle part en Montérégie!

Thanks for another's vid Syndia, I've never used the caran d'ache before. I've got a sample set of senniler and your right the white is better than my other brands. I bought the mungyo soft oil pastels after seeing one of your reviews I absolutely love them for the price. It's like you said the caran d'ache are expensive but good for professional artwork as there lightfast. I'm sticking with my mungyo for the price and there's not much difference in pigmentation in your video compared to the caran d'ache thanks Syndia for the review 👍🏻😁

Hi Syndia, how about oil pastels on Pastelmat, Pastelcard / sanded pastel paper?

Sennelier is THE STUFF for North Pole residents. For the rest of us, a viable solution is to periodically put them in the freezer, paint until they start melting again, then back to the freezer, etc. And I don't live in the tropics, in case you were wondering. Sennelier colours are bright and nontrivial though, which I can't say about Mungyo, whose strong points are price and the reliably OK quality.

I love Neopastels and Holbein. I wish Mungyo had open stock.

Thank u for this review, I use sennelier, but you can not buy them in the Netherlands separate, so trying out another A brand, Neopastel and I can buy them separate 🎉 ❤️

Why do you choose oil pastels over soft pastels for a certain painting?

i have a set of 72 mungyo soft oil pastel and i love them .unfortunately they are not available in single stick, so i bought some white neopastel and i am perfectly happy. love your art
