I still remember getting a record player as a gift when I was a very little girl. My first records were by the Everly Brothers and I spent many hours singing with them, my hairbrush ( pretend microphone) in hand. I still love playing some of their songs on my guitar and singing those same old songs. It has made the isolation bearable! Lol! May they rest happily in the arms of the angels.🙏🏻🎸🎵🎶🌹 Thanks for sharing your wonderful experiences and music. God bless all.

I have always been very impressed with Lyles live performances. Such a fantastic group of musicians I have see him four times. Is love to see him with you on bass

Got to see Lyle twice in St. Louis down at the arch grounds right in front of the river. The first was about 2004. The second was about 2006 or 2007. You and Russ were with him the second time. You were playing your bass with the fanned frets. Every Lyle Lovett show is great.

The one thing you hear so much is the influence the Everly brothers had on the Music
The Beatles always mentioned their love of the Everly's!!!!

The last time I saw Lyle you were with him. I love Viktor's musicianship as well. Both of you bring it and never disappoint. :)

Church is such a great tune! The whole album is iconic, so many great feels, but if the rhythm section doesn't get you on this cut, the piano and singers will give you Religion! ;-)
You and Russ are laying it down so think on this cut!

Wow an absolute legend RIP❤🙏👍 An amazing life and legacy to say the least.
Lyle is one of my all time favorites and had a brush with greatness with Lyle. Atlantic city convention center 1989 to see the Stones and Lyle was there at a bar. I said you're Lyle Lovett and he winked at me and we both kept it movin. I'll never forget👍🙏❤ His hair gave him away👍

Perfect choice for today ... I only heard about Don's passing this afternoon. Super bummer ... 😿🙏❤ Lyle is fabulous .. saw him only once about 20 years ago and he and the band were GREAT! Better than I even imagined they would be! I think as someone else said, possibly underrated artist. A lot of peeps would really dig his music if they heard it or saw him LIVE.

I remember watching the Everly Brothers on the Ed Sullivan Show. It’s no secret that the Beatles learned their harmonies from them because they briefly called themselves “The Everlys” before they came up with The Beatles. That’s the highest complement. RIP Don.

Just seeing Lyle's name in your post title, makes me smile. I was also heartbroken to hear of Don Everly's passing.Too many of the greats are leaving us too soon and fast. Dammit.

Very nice Sunday for Lyle. Condolences to all of Don Everly’s family, friends and fans. That is one passing that hits home with me. R.I.P. Don 🦋🌻🦋

Don was getting love from the most unlikely of sources, yesterday: the United States Marine Corps. Phil and Don gave up their singing careers to join the Marine Corps in 1961. Don's death hit the various Marine vet sites and pages, and there were kids who were not alive during their heyday who were giving them love....
As for Lyle:
"Church is my favorite song of his. Great tune.

Sad day indeed. I also saw that Tom T Hall passed. "Old dogs and children and watermelon wine".

Joshua, Judges, Ruth., was my introduction to Lyle. Saw him with his quartet back in the 80s or 90s. Easily one of the top 5 shows I've ever attended. Got all his stuff then out. It's all great. Love his sense of humor.

The fact that we’re so moved by these losses is indicative of what great music many of us grew up with and so many people are newly discovering and enjoying—with no small part being contributed to by these daily videos!
Terrific song choice to kick off today’s video! My kinda Church!
Stay safe and stay well!
