***********************************

In this video, Charles Judd demonstrates the configuration of Extensible Authentication Protocol (EAP) on a Cisco Wireless LAN (WLAN) Controller.

Consider a large wireless network. You probably wouldn’t want every user to have the same pre-shared key, because if the key were to become compromised, every wireless device would have to be updated with a new key. However, with EAP, we can give each user their own account, and they can log into the wireless network using their credentials.

In this demonstration, Charles shows you how to configure a Cisco WLAN Controller with a local user database and also how to configure the controller to point to an external user database on a RADIUS server.

This video is from our “ENCOR (350-401) Video Training Series.” If you’d like to get the entire series covering every topic on the ENCOR exam blueprint, along with labs and practice exams, use the following link to save 25%:

Hi Kevin,

Have a doubt about pmk key derivation. I would like to know how the pmk keys derived when we use LDAP authentication. In radius the pmk will derive on the server and share it to the AP.

How it works with LDAP?

Bharani

Kevin, when there are multiple aaa servers selected to use for a wlan authentication, how cisco is going to switch back to or automatically take one of them down when it comes to forwarding user auth packets in the event of that one goes unreachable. Does our wlc is only checking with ICMP or quering on exact radius port 1812 to infer it is down? Any thoughts..goos video as usual👍

Great Video. Is it possible to connect WLC with Domain Controller for clients authentication. So client just type his domain user and pass.

I have configured local eap but the client takes more time to get the login screen (“ verify and connecting “ )
