Cacophony's debut record serves as a truly jaw-dropping display of ferocious guitar playing. Marty Friedman with his exotic style and Jason Becker's neoclassical playing led to some extremely interesting guitar lines. Literally every song has an amazing solo with a kickass riff behind it. The vocals however, tend to fall flat.
Such a great record yet such an abysmal mix. The mid-range was cranked so high it matched the bass peak. There was no high end or air for the cymbals to breath in and the low end made the kick sound weak. It also became apparent that they didn't record Pete Marrino's vocals with a pop filter. After fixing that nightmare and adding a few compressors, the sound is huge. I'm extremely proud of the result of this one and I hope you guys will enjoy it too.

Lyrics
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
So much obnoxious noise
I want to spend my life at the beach
I'm getting tired of the daily shouting
City gets the worst of me
*Pre-Chorus*
I'm on the desert island
In the middle of the sea
Put a message in a bottle
That's all you'll hear from me
I need some time to loosen up
Get my head on straight
If I don't leave this city
I think I'll go insane
Repeat *Pre-Chorus*
*Chorus*
Desert Island, out in the sun
Desert Island, out in the heat
I want some real sunshine
Can't you I'm crying out
Break the wall that you built up
And listen to me shout
Repeat *Pre-Chorus* & *Chorus*
Repeat *Chorus*
