Funny, the Russians would rather look like the Three Stooges in burning their own ship up rather than admit that Ukraine is good enough to take it out with a missile. Either story looks bad on Russia..

The warship Moskva has not sunk it has simply been reclassified as a new type of one-way submarine and is on a special underwater mission

Not sure what is worse for the Russians: if the Ukrainians hit it, it's a major victory. On the other hand, if the Russians blew up their own cruiser by accident, that means their navy is as rubbish as their army has proven to be. 🤔🤭

The Ukrainians CLEARLY understand the power of propaganda in this war. They didn't just target whatever ship was easiest to hit, or whichever ship posed the most immediate military threat. They targeted the Black Sea Fleet FLAGSHIP. These guys know what they're doing! Slava Ukraini!

It was a fair target. Unlike shooting missiles at maternity hospitals, churches with women and children sheltering in the basement or a train station filled with evacuating civilians.

For me, claiming that 'as a result of a fire, ammunitions detonated onboard Moskva cruiser' is more embarrassing than
admitting it was a Ukrainian missile hit because it would mean the Russian navy is run by clumsy drunken sailors.

As a goodwill gesture, we have scuttled our flagship - Peskov

Besides being the largest Russian ship, "Moskva" also had the best anti-air defense with S-300 mid-range missiles amongst other ships. After it was sunk, all the remaining Russian ships at Black Sea become even more vulnerable as they all have only short range AA defense or none.

"No, we were not attacked, just terribly incompetent."

This “fire” reminds me of the Russians reporting Chernobyl in 1986.

The loss of Russia's "flagship" in The Black Sea trashes the credibility of Russia's surface fleet everywhere.

I dont think people realize the significance of the name. Ship Moskva, means Moscow. The russian spelling is the same for both names, its just the translation that makes it seem like different names.

This is almost unbelievable. This is what happens when the country's resources are embezzled and turned into super yachts and private jets .. I guess.

By sinking the Russian navy's largest ship in the Black Sea, it gives all the other boats a lot to think about. Way to go, Ukraina!!💙💛

It was, of course a complete co-incidence that the ship went on fire. The fact that there is a war going on had nothing to do with it. I believe that.

Before the war, I'd have a very hard time believing a fire would just spread through out a naval ship unchecked, but after seeing the level of incompetence in the Russian Army for the last month, I have to think anything is possible when dealing with Russian armed forces...

If the ship is still floating - hit the hull again. Sink it to the bottom of the sea.
