As a kid I always played the MGS games and my younger brother watched. This christmas I flipped things and invited him over now that we're both adults and made him play through the games in the master collection. We're midway through snake eater at the moment and it's a blast.

I coincidentally just started mgs1 for the first time. It's phenomenal, but especially a couple of bosses unfortunately really show it's age. No, kojima, this fist fight is not still tense after the 10th try...

Just finished it several hours ago.
And i'm baffled by you Jacob, I never would have guessed that a guy as smart as you and as knowledgeable as you don't even have the basic experience of the game that started it all, I'm glad that you just finished,
What is for me a game that i played between 1999 - 2003 non stop, as long as i had a PS1, since the age of 7, the game that helped me learn the English language and has became a staple of the gaming industry. yet it's still bizarre that you got to it just now.

Oh and also i had a vita, still have, and I got MGS1 by accident, on the Sony behalf, because MGS1 wasn't there in my region.
it appeared somewhere in 2014 for a week or so, and if i haven't checked PSN, I wouldn't have then MGS1-4 on my PS3 and vita (minus MGS4 on vita), so i wouldn't get to replay it so much, especially during blackouts.
