An Oklahoma 5-year-old was let off the school bus at the wrong stop on his first day of kindergarten. His pregnant mom, Kelly Mulholland, says she went to meet the bus only to find that her son was not on it. Another student told her the boy got off at the previous stop. The 5-year-old bravely rang a stranger's doorbell, asking for help to find his mom. Mulholland says she finally found her son with a little girl who got off at the wrong stop a half-mile away.

My heart aches thinking about how that little boy must’ve felt. He was smart to think about ringing a doorbell.

That poor baby. Can’t believe the bus driver dropped TWO kids off at the wrong stop. Anything could’ve happened to those kids. I’m glad they’re safe.

Poor little man. That happened to my son in 1st grade. He even told them he didn't know where he was and this was NOT his stop and was adamant and they forced him off. They dropped him off on a sidewalk in front of a budget inn and suites next to a 5 lane busy road. He was standing there about to cry and a man approached him pushing a stroller and asked if he was OK, he told him what happened and the man asked where he lived and he told the man and the man walked him the mile home. Thank God it was a good man who found him in front of that place and not a bad man.

That's horrible not being able to find your own mother as a little boy. I'm glad that he rang a doorbell and asked a neighbor for help and is now reunited with her.

His crying broke my heart. Poor kid. I really hope this doesn’t scar him as he gets older.

“Would you help me find my mommy?” That is heart wrenching to hear! I’m very glad that the child and his mother were finally reunited!

That’s heartbreaking. I hope the kid recovers from that.

That literally happened to me on my first day of kindergarten. My bus driver literally drove past my stop. I ended up crying my eyes out, for obvious reasons, and because I lived in the country they had to send a van in order to take me to my stop. Even then they didn’t listen to me right away even though i knew where my stop was. I know exactly how that kid felt and thankfully nothing bad happened to him

No excuse for dropping the kid off at the wrong stop…….especially the first day! I used to drive a bus filled with disabled people and you could never trust any of them to know where to get off. When you have helpless individuals on your bus, you have to be on the ball and sharp as a razor. No excuses.

I hope that little girl is okay and that her parents care about her as much as the mom does for her son. 🥺

This is how kids go missing, like really missing. This should NOT have happened in the first place!! If that was my son, I would have drove him myself from now on. Even if it wasn’t an easy option for me due to work or a scheduling conflict. This isn’t the first time I’ve seen this kind of thing happen. Glad there was a kind person to help him.

Why did I click on this knowing it would make me cry? That poor, sweet baby. That's gotta be the scariest thing imaginable when you're that little. I'm glad he's home safe and sound, back with his mama.

Terrifying for a 5 year old. But this is a smart kid. He asked for help.

My heart goes out to that little boy and his mom! Thank God he had enough sense to push a ring doorbell!
