Comparing the jump in Star Citizen to Elite Dangerous, which is better?

Wrong comparison. Should be supercruise in ED, the only feature im missing in SC.

Honestly elite does the warp better, especially in a fleet carrier where it looks like a warp jump from warhammer 40k. However i like the bending distortion that SC has, its a nice touch and if elite had that it would go really well with the lore of how the FSD works. Oh well just a little miss lto add on to the block with fdev

The only thing Elite Dangerous needs is Odyssey on earth-like planets and Mass Effect Andromeda style exploration and an additional Galaxy of Andromeda

the size of the galaxy on ED tho.... 1:1 ratio.. 20 years running and only 1.023% discovered..

Innacurate comparison. Start Citizen is cruising within the same solar system (which elite can do also, albeit not as pretty) and the Elite animation is a hyperjump to another system entirely (which Stsr Citizen cannot currently do)

I haven't played neither, but looking from this i would prefer Elite Dangerous

I like warp out from EVE online, big bodies zoom in then smaller bodies like moons and finally man made stuff like jump gates and ships.

I like them both, and I own both games, but I play ED more and the SFX in ED is beautiful, I like the slight hull bending sounds.

You just did quantum jump in SC which is supercruise in ED and hyperjump in Elite which doesn't exist in Scam Citizen, it's irrelevant.

ED has a great galactic map sizes and space combat, SC has a great details which is great on foot experience

Love the warp effects of star citizen and being able to see the bodies live. The last effect of elite dangerous is awesome as well

I was an Elite Dangerous player for about two years before I discovered Star Citizen. I have now been playing Star Citizen for about two and a half years, and have not been able to go back. However, there are some things about ED that I still very much admire, this being one of them.

I like them both. I play Star Citizen a lot these days but Elite will always have a special place in my life, lol.
(I know most people don't understand it but some people don't care about having a pissing contest over these games.)

All I can say is while I definitely prefer SC, I do miss the basey sounds of elite dangerous especially the warp and engine start up sounds
