Excerpt from Daily Mail:
'I've only ever loved and supported her': Britney Spears' sister Jamie Lynn sobs as she insists she 'doesn't know' why their relationship has fallen apart: Defends new memoir in which she describes sibling as 'erratic, paranoid, and spiraling'
Jamie Lynn Spears, 30, appeared on Good Morning America on Wednesday in order to promote her new book, Things I Should Have Said
During her on-air interview, she opened up about her fractured relationship with her sister Britney, 40, who publicly criticized Jamie Lynn on several occasions
Britney's fans have also bashed her sister, accusing her of failing to help the popstar end her 13-year conservatorship, which was overseen by their father
Jamie Lynn has now insisted she did 'set up ways' to try and help Britney dissolve the conservatorship, including 'making sure she had contacts' who could assist
She added that she 'even spoke to [Britney's] previous legal team' but said that the conversation 'did not end well in her favor'
In an excerpt from her book, which was read out during the interview, Jamie Lynn describes Britney's behavior as 'erratic, paranoid, spiraling'
The actress and new author defended her book, saying that she is 'allowed to say how she felt' because 'it matters that she was in pain'
