Around this time, Britain, France, and Israel invaded Nasser's Egypt to take back the Suez Canal. The USA was pissed about this because the west would be unable to criticize the USSR for their brutality, because of what the trio were currently doing. One of the Hungarian revolutionaries apparently told the British govt, "By invading Egypt, you have doomed my country."
