i have a 2.7 for a few years now. still my main guitar. holds up really well. i´ve put Mick Thompsons Blackouts in it. that thing snarls beautifully and beastly.

I got a $1200 Indonesia-made Solar last week. Arrived with unplayable action. Not solvable with truss or saddle adjustment: high frets. Spent yesterday with the fret rocker and file. Improved a lot, but still pretty high action & fretting out. 'Looks' great. Wouldn't risk it again.

Gotta say, they way you have that set up, and effects, those cleans really had a Wes borland feel. I love his tone, so definitely a and right after I said that you mention Wes😂

Just bought the X1.6FRVinter in pearl white matte its got a floyd rose 1000 system on it😭🔥 im hyped and terrified at the same time. All i care about is that it arrives with no QC issues. I welcome the FR system with open arms. Just hope theres no QC problems fingers crossed for when it arrives

I've owned my Solar since 2917, no qc issues, holds tune well, plays great and is a daily player.

Yeah definitely agree the .2 series is more my thing. The fixed bridge or Floyd would be my choice. Glad to hear yours held up well. Have a good one Ray 🤘🤘

SICK TUNE MAN! Now, can someone PLEASE tell me: When you buy a Solar, shipped to The US, do you have to pay customs fees? If so, how do you even go about it? I've asked on Facebook groups, I've emailed Solar customer support. I've even attempted asking Ola, and I can't get a straight answer. Thanks!

I went to change the pickups. They stripped the screw on the bridge pick up from the factory. by the time i got it out. i had chipped the paint and wood out from that screw area. Wish there is a easy way to fix the paint that came off. Even if i take it to get a paint match. i doubt they would make such a small amount for blemishes.

I've got two Solars, one 8 and one 6 baritone. I like 'em both. No prolbems at all. On the subject of evertune...I have one, and that guitar is mostly used on recording specific rhythm tracks, and nothing else. I won't reach for the evertune guitar, if you get me. But, then again I am an 80's floyd rose kid, so whammy is in my blood. You can't dive bomb a evertune LOL.
