Yes! The film is bad, perhaps the worst Batman film made. However, the toys that came from this film are fantastic and a great addition to the collection.

I love the Batman and Robin film for what it is. My favorite Batman film is Batman Forever but it’s always nice to see some positive coverage of B&R!

I would have been 13 when this came out, and I really enjoyed it at the time! I went to Odeon to see it and they were giving away double sided posters; heroes on one side, villains on the other. That was on my wall for years!

I totally feel your pain! My mother got rid of so many toys I had as a kid: GI Joes, Transformers, Go-Bots, WWF Wrestlers with ring, AWA Wrestlers, Star Wars. I wish I still had ALL of them!

Awesome video, and B&R is my favorite...it's so much fun! In case you didn't know, there is a super rare Japanese exclusive version of the Cold Knight in Gotham set with a clear blue Mr. Freeze figure. It's even more expensive. Last one sold for $1500.

The Batmobile was great. Felt like it could have been a massive electronic light show but I'm glad they kept the cost down, for the time at least.

Hey Nathan,
As a huge Batman & Robin film fan, I happily stumbled upon your video and it's nice to see someone else collecting the set. I am 3 Deluxe figures away from having the whole thing!

Just incase you have psycho collecting tendencies like me, be careful not to forget the packaging variations on any of the female figures. Batgirl, Poison Ivy and the Robin/Ivy two pack have both painted art and pictures of the figures on the inserts. I saw your Batgirl & Ivy single cards are the art versions, which are the harder to find versions, but your Robin/Ivy is the figure pictures. Just thought I would leave ya a little heads up! Great vid, man, good luck with the set!

Sad thing is, I think I have that batmobile from B&R which shot out the batman logo/front bumper if you pushed the button at the back, but over the years I broke and lost bits to it :/

One thing I notice about Batman and Robin that they had some campy sets resembling the 60's TV show. The campier, the more inticing to buy a Batman Action figure.

The Batman Forever is my favorite film and the Joel Schumacher Batman is my favorite style of Batsuits. Diehard Batman fans will say Tim Burton's Batman film series is the best (better than the Christopher Nolan franchise), but during the time, Space Jam came out a year before, and Mortal Kombat had a sequel, it was obvious a Batman film was going to have a toy tie in because the script (Batman and Robin) wasn't really good and it was a cash grab knowing they're going to make a lot of money from the merchandise.

I saw fan adaptions to a Tim Burton inspired Batman Forever and I thought for the diehard Batman fan, the creator of that fan adaption really went deep with the scope of Batman and making it a series focusing on Batman and not a toyetic cash grab.

Warner Bros wanted a family friendly product and even though Joel Schumacher showed flamboyant material in the two movies he directed, Batman Returns was too dark and could of easily been a Rated R movie if it was a little darker. Parents at the time didn't like the Penguin or a Catwoman associated with BDSM. When I saw Batman Returns at the movie theaters, I thought I was watching a Madonna "Justify my Love" music video because it was dark and sexual. Diehard Batman fans can look past that, but Warner Bros couldn't (reason why Tim Burton and Michael Keaton didn't come back to do Batman 3 aka Batman Forever).

I've seen Funko pops for the Schumacher Batman films so there's enough nostalgia going for them.

Its amazing how much the movie and its merchandise resonates so favorably with fans today even though the chief complaint was the film felt like a toy commercial. Hmmmm. Apparently there 's something to be said for that approach if people are willing to pay good money to celebrate a film that is supposed to be hated. I personally think allot of people love this movie, but just don't want to say it. You watch. At some point there will be a Sideshow Clooney Batman. They're already working on Forever so bank it will happen.

I got that Cold Knight in Gotham Double Pack 1 year ago at a toy fair. Packaged/never been opened. Cost me just £15! 😂🤣

Nice video! As bad as this film was, Batman V Superman trumps it as the worst DC film ever... :')

In answer to the question - yes it was. But nineteen years later, a worse Batman film was finally released.
