I love this video, thank you so much for putting it together. It makes me tear up for so many reasons. Suni really can say she followed her dreams, worked hard, and in the end, she became the AA Olympic Gold Champion (among so many other accolades). It's so beautiful to watch her coach Jess with her through every moment. There's nothing like a coach-athlete bond, especially in such an individualized sport like gymnastics. This was really cool. 💕💕💕

It's always challenging, and thus, rare, for a gymnast to appear at more than one Olympics. Think of Laurie Hernandez, Shawn Johnson, Nastia Liukin, Bridget Sloan, etc., who did not give themselves sufficient training time to return to form (I think they only did so a year before their next Olympics).

But Sunee has stated her intentions to wrap up her collegiate career and train for Paris. She now has only 1.5 years (as of Dec 2022) to attain elite-level skills. If possible, she might have to consider developing another vault and upgrades to other apparatuses. Given that Rebeca Andrade, Jade Carey, Jordan Chiles, and Leanne Wong have maintained their gymnastics - and have designed their programs to suit the new code of points - Sunee has some catch up to do. There are also younger, quite impressive athletes from Italy, France, China, and Canada that have emerged on the scene since the Tokyo games.

Good luck to Sunee - wish you the best.
