Undervolt your RTX 2080 Super for more FPS! - Tutorial

Undervolting really seems to be the best option in terms of GPU optimization for the 2000 series from Nvidia. Be it a 2080, 2070, 2060 and every one of their Super or Ti versions, I’d recommend doing it. If you do it properly, you’re gonna lose virtually 0 performance or even get an increase, while dramatically reducing heat and power consumption. Today we are featuring an RTX 2080 Super from PNY, with a Blower Style Cooler

I have many tutorials about the 3000 series as well, in case you're interested!

Oh my god I love you, My 2080 has been borderline overheating when I try to play newer games but your settings are an amazing difference

Did this on a normal 2080 and it worked like a charm. Same perfomance while saving rougly 10° C and also using less energy. Stuttering is gone, too. Was on the brink to upgrade to a new GPU, maybe another time. Thank you a lot for this!

Running at 825mV 1800mhz the power savings and lower temperature is such a good trade off for some performance lost. Great vid!

RTX 2070, your settings at (1800MHz) tremendous difference. Thank you for this!

Thanks so much for this 👍I live in a warm country, and this is gonna help keep things a bit less toasty without giving up performance, particularly with the memory clock increase. My card is a lightly OC'ed card as it has higher clocks by default, but ultimately I only get to about 1950mhz as my max whilst doing this. But it's worth it as I'm only losing 30-60mhz from stock, and the temps and power usage are down a ton. Thanks again 🕺

Just wanted to say thank you for this awesome pro tip. You saved all my Diablo IV stuttering issues, due to my MSI TRIO 2080 SUPER hitting 88°C. After implementing 1900 curve as stated in your video, my card is dancing around 65-70°C. You saved me from upgrading GPU in the current overpriced market. Can't thank you enough. Cheers mate!

When I adjust the curve and hit apply, my GPU/mem clock goes to 1900mhz while idle and the card is just heating up for no reason

I've been following you on Instagram since the video where you connected 2x8pin to the psu to run the gtx580
This video helped me with my 2080super, now it has about 20-30fps more in mw2

Thanks a lot man dropped to 775mV running at 1650Mhz 7750Mhz Memory. Running very quiet now!

Worked for me. Lowered my voltage to 900mv, core to 1910Mhz and VRAM +750.

FPS stays the same but noise levels and temperatures dropped (by about 10c under load).

Heya. What is the fan speed option for this undervolting? I mean i have to use it on automatic or fixed fan speed?

Good tutorial, dropped my temperatures by around 8c or 9c, was running 77c now drops below 70c plus got a slight boost in performance, core 1950mhz, memory 8200mhz.

Volevo chiederti invece per la temperatura cosa usi come fan curve... Nel mio schermo cmq i Mv stanno sempre a 0.... Grazie del video cmq

Hello Bro ! Thank you for you video ! I would like to know your input ! ; Under your m9V setting ; I achieve average 176fps on mw2 benchmark. With everything Max (Voltage;GPu Clock 2055mhz; Max Fan ; I get +10fps. My temp is about 66°C on max while on .9V it's about 56°C.
Wich setup would be best you think for max fps/stability and less stuttering ? Thanks !

Thanks man. I have few questions. If und don't mind.
I have 2080ti running at 1800mhz and 875v. Is this enough? When I Start furmark Benchmark it says the gpu runs at around 90%power? So i made it slower by cap it to 1800 right? Will temps go higher with more MHz? Or is it only the Volt wich makes the temps? For example 1800mhz 900 Volt and 2000mhz 900 Volt same temps?. And one last question. I safe it on 1 and lock it. I have Start on Windows Start and everything. But when I Restart my PC and look, its all good but the curve is a Bit different (higher) I need to click manuell on Profil 1 to have my Settings. ?

How do you get MSI Afterburner on top of the Heaven Benchmark? I tried almost everything but could not figure it out. Hope you can help.

Hey, I was able to get 1995MHz, Mem at 8750MHz, with 918mV, all at 64 degrees and 70% fan speed. Would this be considered an undervolt and overclock? What is the stock MHz for the 2080 super?

great vid. ive got another 3% of performance in superposition benchmark on extreme while saving another 30w :)
