Let's count how many times Zelda hasn't done anything.
Legend of Zelda: Sat on her ass while Link does the work.
Legend of Zelda 2: She slept the whole time.
A Link to the Past: Gets captured all the time.
Link's Awakening: Wasn't even in it.
Minish Cap: Gives Link a shield but then gets frozen in Stone for the games majority.
Majora's Mask: Wasn't in it.
Twilight Princess: She kept trying to sacrifice herself.

I'm not counting Ocarina of Time, Spirit Tracks, BOTW, WindWaker and Hyrule Warriors, since she actually helped in those games.

For anyone curious, the titular "Legend of Zelda" actually refers to a specific legend about a specific Zelda in universe, specifically the one from Zelda 2 (the one game not called Legend of Zelda). She endured magical torture and a sleeping curse to protect the Triforce, and afterwards all female royals would be named Zelda by law in honor of her legend.

Hilariously, A Link to the Past takes place after OOT which is the only main game with Sheik in it and ALTTP is from a seperate timeline from Majora's Mask
