Mini Masterclass!
For each piece on my solo album, “6 Partitas by Antón García Abril”, I created a short masterclass for players and listeners alike. Partita No. 4, ‘Art’, centers around a recurring but varied theme. Through musical fragments, I demonstrate how even one note can change the course of an entire piece.

Most of what you suggested also happens to be a driving principle of Bach's Chaconne. The six Partitas are one-movement works that as a whole do not seem much like Bach at all on the surface. Yet here we have a work that explores the art of composition by branching out. What I find remarkable is that it is possible that this Partita when played among the six in the set covers the same proportional timespan as Bach's Chaconne does when his three partitas are played in a row in the order of their numbering. It's just how I make sense of numerical placement.
