Sometimes it's difficult, but I remind myself to forgive quickly, frequently and completely.

I had someone from my church borrow money from me and has to this day never paid me back. This happened at a time when I was struggling financially. I was really shocked and disgusted by this but I had to let it go. The Lord has, just like in your experience Bob, blessed me tremendously. 😄
Thanks for sharing!

A friend loaned me some money to start a business. The business did not perform as expected and I was unable to pay them back. I was very young and did not have a clue how to deal with it. Shame kept me in such a stranglehold! My friend tracked me down later and said, "If I have it to loan you, I have it to give you. I wouldn't have given it to you in the first place, if I wasn't willing to give it to you entirely. You owe me nothing. We're good. I just wanted our relationship back."

What.a.GIFT! The money wasn't the biggest gift - it was the forgiveness and the restoration of our relationship that was priceless!

Since that episode, I have had opportunity to tell this story around the world. It's amazing how the Lord has used it to set people free, provide an example, and encourage forgiveness and relational restoration.

Needless to say, I've also had the opportunity to BE that person offering forgiveness. It has given me grace and compassion for others, because these things were shown to me.

Choosing to forgive...choosing not to be bitter❤

In my case, I was scammed out of a lot of money. I had been so frugal, not spending money on things I wanted. I could have had all the little things I denied myself, and now the money is gone anyway! To think that looking at it as a gift to the scammer/thief will bring me some peace is another shock, but it rings true and I must do it. The truth is that the bank account was not my source of security. God is Source. I feel like a child running home in the dark.

Well, I blew it. I found the deepest part of anger. A close friend who continues to lie about thousands and continues to not do the right thing. Then, tries to blackmail. Sent me over the edge. I know my secondary emotion (anger) is rooted in sadness and mourning. Please pray for me. I know it was justified anger, but I also know I sinned while angry.

Letting go seems easy but is indeed the hardest thing to do

had a cousin who stole money from me. What really gets to me, is that she has mentioned how she's following the word of the Lord. To steal and then claim your following the Lord ( that's all kinds of wrong)😖😖😖😖
