I don't necessarily think the (then Persian) Iranian princess (the one who looked like humpty dumpty in knee socks) was truly the depiction of the beauty standard everyone wished to covet.... I think she was from a prominent, rich, powerful family and so the counrty was like "Oh yeah, she's.... She's gorgeous!" Just to avoid being umm.... _harmed_ in any way.
I think as a nation they just had to pander to her and the royal family and maybe placate their ego's.
Much like People in North Korea have to constantly say how much they love their leader and that they think he is the peak of male attractiveness other wise it doesn't bode well for them...
I could be wrong, but I just don't see how she was viewed as "beautiful" when you consider Queen Soraya of Iran on this list became the Queen consort of Iran and she _was_ beautiful and she was born in the life time of the other princess - Queen Soraya was 4 when the Iranian princess Zahara Khanom tadj es-saltaneh.

After having watched the video I must agree with several other commenters that he grossly misplaced Diana and Katherine, not to mention that his comments regarding Kate were, at the LEAST, snarky! Several of his choices are so far back in history that there is NO accurate depiction of the woman in question, Nefertiti, Cleopatra, Queen of Sheba being just plain egregious.
