The technique to play this set is to throw continous souls and mist waves.
We get 1 mist wave charge each time we critical hit. Soul dash also criticals from level 4, so that also gives a mist wave charge.

For those asking how to beat him with hound lv4+. I'm using lv5 but there are no big differences from lv4. Lv6 would just be a walk in the park i guess.
Here are my perks:
Rock, perseverance, dmg absorption, dmg return, PoV, berserk, basher, bleeding.
All my perks are min lv8, most lv10.
Hound's strength is the pursuit mode. In pursuit you are immortal. So the key is to enter pursuit as fast as possible & as many times as possible. You need to build fire energy quick to enter pursuit, so you use shield dash & horn often. At the start, you need to push him to the corner with shield dash and keep attacking. Do not let him keep distance, otherwise he'll use the range atk (wave thing). Jaw breaker combined with basher is a great advantage (high chance to keep him stunned). If PoV applied on first pursuit, his health will be reduced by at least 80%, then you'll just need to finish him. If not, keep him in corner until you re-enter pursuit. Stay close to him! Remember when using hound you need to pressure & bully. Reverse the roles - you need to become the boss 🙂

I beat the Dead Forest Triad boss in hard mode with Level 6 Steel Hound Set . It's the absolute best armor to use against this boss in my humble opinion. Anyway good video, man .👍👌
