This video is aimed at students studying Unit 1 and 2 of VCE Mathematical Methods. This video is part of a topic on Polynomial functions

In this video we introduce the graphs of y=x^3 and y=x^4, the cubic and quartic graphs respectively. We then consider transformations of these graph shapes (dilation from the x-axis, reflection in the x-axis and translations), and use those transformations to sketch graphs of cubic and quartic functions

My class uses the Cambridge Senior Mathematics textbook for Units 1 and 2 Mathematical Methods for the Australian Curriculum / VCE and the TI Nspire CAS CX II handheld.

I am not clear about the point of inflection whether the derivative at that point is zero or something else.
