More than 2,600 council seats across 107 councils are up for grabs in England, alongside 11 mayoral elections, a parliamentary seat and police and crime commissioners throughout England and Wales.

Poor results could prompt questions about Prime Minister Rishi Sunak's leadership, as Sky's political correspondent Rob Powell reports.

Big splash Penny Mordaunt has a dilemma; after she moves into number ten is it worthwhile unpacking the boxes.

In my area 2 out of 3 or 3 out of 4 people just couldn't be bothered voting. But they'd still complain.

This country needs a leader not a poodle. I can't see a leader in any of the parties atm. If Nigel comes back then we have one🤞🙏

The vastly overpopulated United Kingdom is in such a serious state of lawlessness, decline and decay in so many different areas and this mass invasion of immigrants is contributing so destructively, detrimentally and negatively to the myriad of problems we as a nation are now confronted with and history informs us a labour party government will only make things considerably worse.
