I've always wanted pretty, tight curls but never realized my puffy, frizzy hair hiding exactly what I wanted.

I can honestly say that after straightening my hair every day for over a decade, embracing my natural curls and the CG method is a lifesaver. My hair is happy, healthy, grows like crazy and my scalp has finally calmed down too. I love my curls now. Can't imagine going back to those days of straightening all the time. For any newbies, keep at it, it will get easier!

I have curls and I live in a house full of people with straight hair, and when they buy shampoo and conditioner for everyone they just get random stuff(most of the time they have silicon, etc in them) because it really doesn't effect their hair, and I feel bad for complaining so I just use the stuff they buy. I'm starting to ask my mom to get me like devacurl shampoo and conditioner or something along those lines and she's agreeing so hopefully she will get me them and if she doesn't I'll just buy them myself because my hair is in need.

Would you recommend this method for someone who doesn't know her hair type, but when air dried, definitely has texture. My hair really can't decide whether it want to be straight, wavy or semi-tight curls.

Re: 2:55 This is a problem I have with OGX products! They're sulfate free, but all their conditioners (shampoos too!) have dimethicone, which is probably the most annoying thing ever.

Your videos honestly make me feel empowered about my hair. I don’t have the typical big curly hair and sometimes I feel a little insecure about not having that kind of hair. My hair, on a great day is typically the beach curly wave kind. It’s quite thick but not THAT thick but your way of including absolutely everyone when it comes to types of hair makes me feel empowered and confident to rock my hair. Thanks girlie, keep doing you. just wanted to mention that cylicones if anyone wants to check the ingredients in their products they buy look out for the words ending in "cone" "conal" & "zane". Any words that end like that in the ingredients are cylicones. love u India ♡ this video was so great for anyone starting out in ther hair journey. you're the best and definatly one of my favorite you tubers. Ive had unruly frizzy hair my entire life. Ive burdened my curls in frizzy gross buns for too many years. I have never had any clue how to take care of my hair. I am SO glad I found you! I need to take better care of my naturally wavy hair, and have purchased several products because of your video! - the Deva Curl Wave Maker, the micro fiber Towel, and Deva Curl micro fiber "Mittens" to scrunch my hair with! I used to have super curly hair...until I ruined my hair with straightening it for many years, so now i have lifeless waves. I want my curls to come back! I am so glad I stumbled upon this video. I recently trimmed my dead ends, and decided to start fresh, from that day on I stopped using heat on my hair. I ordered some Deva products and this video and the tips are so helpful!!! Thank you so much for the tips and inspiring me to start the curly girl method! Been doing the curly girl routine for about two months now and my hair has grown and changed drastically!! My hair hasn’t grown for years because of always using a straightener. I hope my hair improves like yours one day 😊😊 and at this point using hot tools are too much of a pain. It’s so much easier to go natural! If you are debating on starting the method, try it you won’t regret it!
