Linda Stanley, lead prosecutor in the Barry Morphew case, disbarred for 'dereliction of duty'

A Colorado district attorney has lost her law license, in part for her handling of one of Colorado's most high-profile murder cases.

A panel under the Colorado Supreme Court ruled in an 83-page decision Tuesday that Linda Stanley can't practice law in Colorado anymore.

This is just the tip of the Linda Stanley iceberg. It would not take much delving into her entitled history to find her prior activities make this Lama situation look like a pool party. A book could and should be written about her felonious escapades. Locking her up would just cost us more money and we taxpayers are sick of throwing good money after bad. Hopefully she's now in the rearview mirror and we can start cleaning up the mess she has created. Good riddance to the Former DA.

I don't understand why were the charges dismissed in both cases. You can disbar an unethical prosecutor, but to throw out the charges doesn't make sense. They still could be guilty.
Why not replace her and move on with the cases.

other judicial conduct commissions wait years, keeping a matter under investigation till the judge or attorneys die or quit. Then they dismiss.
