that California climate sure kept the visible steel nice. Thanks U.P, Ed and your crew for all your hard work to keep steam alive.

Thank you for the show yesterday! And thank you for being so kind to allow the public onto the platform at the Dexter crew change point to get close to 844. You all made for a great afternoon.

Just take all the time you need to get 4014 running well ... that's all you need to worry about!

Sending all the best to you and the Steam Team Ed, for a great run to Memphis. Remind those folks what living history is all about. What a treat for everyone involved.

Thanks for sharing progress on 4014. What a sight that will be on the main line when the restoration is complete. The excitement is palpable.

Very impressed with the speed in which work on 4014 has progressed. You weren't kidding when in the last update you said you were out of the gate running.

Fascinating. I had no idea that's what locomotives looked like on the inside.

Just before my father retired from EMD in McCook Il, they looked at using steam power in locomotives again, but the project was dropped. I can only hope that an oil converted power house like the 4014, will not only excite the steam enthuist, but perhaps inspire a new era in steam power!

and they said 20 to 30 years ago this engine couldn't come back, no one ever thought that this beast would ever come back but here we are in the 21 first century and this true dragon is about to awakened from it's long 50+ year slumber and when it does wake up it's gonna roar and i think this is is truly the ultimate triumph for steam and may this big boy once again clam the title of the "king of steam" and may this big boy charge and battle its way up its home rails and stomping grounds, "Sherman hill"
