Watch live coverage as SpaceX launches a Falcon 9 rocket with 21 satellites for Elon Musk's Starlink internet service. Liftoff from Space Launch Complex 40 at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station is scheduled for 3:43 a.m. EDT on Saturday, August 31 (0743 UTC). The first-stage booster making its 18th flight will land on SpaceX's drone ship 'Just Read the Instructions', stationed in the Atlantic Ocean, about eight and a half minutes after leaving the launch pad.

The mission, designated Starlink 8-10, will take a north-easterly trajectory on departure from the space coast and includes 13 satellites capable of providing direct to cellphone services.

Commentary will be provided by Spaceflight Now's Will Robinson-Smith, starting approximately an hour prior to liftoff.

I was going north up the Florida coast last night when I saw a red rescue flare! I thought darn, now I'm going to have to do a rescue at sea. I watched the flare go from orange red to blue white and realized I was watching the launch from the Kennedy Space center!

so right before I saw the space x satellites going through space I witnessed my first ever UAP!! Now before anyone says it's this or that, no! Believe me it took me awhile to believe my own eyes as this white circular ball of light was at first appearing to be another star except unusually low n once it started moving erratically I froze n started yelling like anyone else seeing this? This was at around 4:15 am in Michigan's Upper peninsula on the west side of the state near the Wisconsin border town called Iron River, MI!! I was on a dock on the lake so has a great visual for bout 45 min to 1hr!! Clear beautiful night skies with the stars out like crazy n saw some unusual things before the object whatever it was like a shooting star with a red Trail very quick but red n the ball of light, the UAP, had a bit of red light coming from it every so often!! I'm still just in shock!!
