Growing risk of dengue fever as virus spreads

Health authorities say Americans face a growing risk of dengue fever from mosquitos that are common in the United States. The concern comes as cases of dengue have increased dramatically in Central and South America. NBC News's Anne Thompson reports.

Make sure there is no standing water in your back yard. It's shocking that it only takes 4 days for them to pass through that part of the breeding cycle. Just learned that. Empty your watering cans.

I know those mosquitos VERY frigkin well, and when I told the locals here in NORTH idaho the "friendly" people cannot discus it or wrap thier "minds" around it, its here, and they are going to get dengue.

Asian Tiger Mosquitos are on the rise all over the US. I live in the southwest on the border of Mexico and we’ve had them since last year. They’re super aggressive, black and white striped mosquitos (as seen here at 2:04). You MUST wear big spray every single day, even indoors if you come in and out a lot!

Mosquito eating fish?? That even exist? I've only know about the giant elephant mosquito which aren't blood sucking but larvae do feed or other larvae & they tend to lay their eggs same place where other mosquito does.

I wrote senator Josh Hawley over a year ago about Dengue last year that it is coming to america. Me and my are American citizens living in the Philippines and both got it at the same time. And started to do self studies on it. It almost killed us both
This was during Covid19 at its wprst when we both got infected. We both pulled through. Never received a response from Senator Jawleys office.
