As The Bell Rings was a show that used to air during commercial breaks on Disney Channel. Was it any good? Idk, did you watch the video? Cuz I gave my opinion in the video. I don't really need to write it here too...

Alright fine I’ll write it here. It was okay.

the immediate but unmentioned wardrobe change to long sleeve under short sleeve is a win in my book.

Demi says “that’s really good” with the same exact inflection as “she’s really good” from camp rock and I’m living for that.

I thought I had never seen this show but then the theme song played and the memories came flooding back

I remember being woken up by “ aS tHe BeLl in the middle of the night after falling asleep to Disney channel. Being hit by the truck is exactly the right way to describe that theme song

10:38 no way they gave demi the same line in two different mediums and they delivered it the same way both times💀

Fun Fact: A song from this show, _Could You Be the One?_, was recycled in the episode of _Suite Life on Deck_ titled _When in Rome_, only it was sung in Italian.

I have spent over a decade trying to prove this and I was unable to until the launch of Disney+. I will now take your donations.

I straight up thought for my entire life, up to this exact moment, that this show was what people meant when they talked about “Saved By The Bell”

Listening to the intro song was such an uncanny experience since it was re-recorded in Polish for our version of the show. It isn’t as screamy in Polish and it’s like two kids, a boy and a girl singing it. The show always annoyed me. There was a weird thing where they were always sitting at like a window that would be connected to a kitchen where you put the plates when you’re done at the cafeteria. I guess they had set limitations but it just looked so strange.

In Canada we had PSAs meant to cause emotional damage or confuse us in-between our kids shows. We were taught about house hippos, limb loss, self confidence, work safety and more. All in between the normal toys and food commercials too.

This show haunted me for years and I couldn’t remember what it was. When you said toe jam it hit me. They had an episode with everyone asking why he was called toe jam and at the end it’s revealed his toe is deformed into a spoon shape and he eats jam with it and that image literally haunts me

This show was actually a remake of a Disney Italy show, and eventually had like 20 versions made throughout the world. It is still confusing how this became popular enough to have 20 different iterations.

Scott slowly and subtly adding to the jewelry he's wearing over the course of the video is brilliant. I had to double check and make sure he wasn't wearing earrings at the start

As a Cartoon Network kid, I'm offended. I'm coming for you in four years assuming good behavior

When Scott said "I miss [the long sleeve under the short sleeve tee]" and then immediately wore it, I almost cried from laughing.

Okay but "I've just been informed that this is a shovel" made me laugh lol

The British version of "As the Bell Rings" was very unrealistic, because it didn't have the teacher going "The Bell is for me, not you!" and making us late to the next class where the next Teacher would be very annoyed and keep us after the Bell for being late.

I think the fact that the ads were mostly focused on hyping up upcoming Disney movies and shows made the channel as a whole more enjoyable. I actually liked the ads on upcoming DVD releases as a kid 'cause I would get psyched about the bonus features on them, lol

And this has been another installment of " Scott talks about an obscure thingy from your late 90s/early 2000's childhood that you forgot about untill you saw the video title"

Camp Rock came out when I was in 8th grade and I was absolutely obsessed with that movie and Demi Lovato. I watched all of this show AND all of the British version because I wanted to support Demi so badly (I even watched some subtitled versions in other languages). Suffice to say, I was solidly the target demographic, and I jumped right onto the Sonny With a Chance train when that came out. I wrote fanfiction for Camp Rock and Sonny With a Chance and everything. Anyway, this was a really interesting trip down memory lane. I think from over a decade later, I can confidently say I just had a crush on Demi Lovato lol.

14:35 no but the way he says "it's dead, get over it" with like a vague midwestern accent is absolutely hilarious
