3 Minute Fishtail Braid Tutorial For Beginners

I have been wearing my hair in a fishtail braid more and more recently. It’s partly because I love the look but probably more so because I don’t feel like curling my hair most mornings. I am all for putting in the effort but at some point, too much heat can seriously damage your hair. If you have been on Pinterest lately, you would notice that the fishtail braid look is “in”. I have never been much of a trends person, because, for one, I rarely find anything trendy that attractive. And two, trends are designed for one purpose only—to sell. Because of that, I’m much more in favor of the simple and timeless looks. That being said, I do like the fishtail braid look, even though it’s definitely a trend thing. Below, you can watch my 3-minute fishtail braid tutorial, which I put together with great care.

Here are the step-by-step instructions of how to fishtail braid:
1. Flip your hair to one side
2. Separate your hair in two even sections
3. Take a small piece of hair & add it to the opposite section
4. Use a clear hair elastic to secure the ends
5. Pull the braid apart slightly
6. Ta-da! You are done.
