In this session led by Mitchell, attendees will gain insights into leveraging visual calculations to streamline DAX calculations in Power BI.

Mitchell will explore this new capability, providing participants with a clear understanding of its functionality and potential applications. Emphasis will be placed on replacing complex DAX calculations with simplified visual calculations.

You and Mitchell will also explore:
- Optional parameters and their implications in enhancing analysis and reporting tasks
- Considerations and limitations associated with visual calculations compared to conventional DAX writing methods

By the end of the session, attendees will have acquired practical knowledge to simplify their DAX calculations effectively while being mindful of the existing constraints.

Sir, I did not understand the Running Total Sales (m) at 20:00. If you say 'Date'[Date] <= MAX('Date'[Date], then [Total Sales] will be calculated for all the dates except that one maximum date. How would that change the result? Can you explain that?

Smart tip using Format function, but if we sorted it will sorted as text not numeric, do you have a recommendation ?

Thanks for the video!
¿Migh It be the case that the button "New Calculation" in the section "Calculation" doesn't exist?

¿Or maybe I have a new or old version of power bi, and that's why It might be the case that I cannot see the button?

thanks you!

I have a column sales[agent] and a measure [Total sales], I tried "Running Sum" but it is sorted by sales[agent] column and can't be sorted by [total sales] measure, any option!!

Is there a library of Visual Calculations and the arguments they take? Example [14:33] how do you know the [Axis] argument takes ROWS as one of its options. Unless I saw this tutorial I'd have to do a web search on it.

I've downloaded the files through the link above (Student files) but the content of the files is about "Copilot for Microsoft 365 Workshop" not "Visual Calculations in Power BI - DAX ". Please, how can I get the right files?
