Super great Still blows me away that the person you defended yourself (or family) against can sue you (or, the person's family if that person is dead) even though you were acquitted or no-billed. I guess "No" doesn't always mean "No". @ArmedAttorneys, I achieve a level of "stupid" that I didn't think I could even dream of obtaining every time I listen to you! I realize these videos require a ton of your time but, Thanks and Keep 'em comin'!!

Amazing content. I just went to court Friday and found out I was no billed since July. I wanna know why it took them so long to tell me🤔

Great video. Especially the part about not getting into trouble in the first place. It's always easier to stay out of jail by staying out of trouble.

To quote John Farnam regarding shooting incidents, "Avoid them when you can. Win them when you can't!"

You mentioned civil suits. In Georgia and a number of other states, I was under the impression that you are protected from civil suits in self defense situations. I would love a video on that.

You covered what being indicted means on a legal level, but what can be the results on a personal level, like license suspension, travel restrictions, and such?

The grand jurors also become familiar with, and develop a level of trust for, the nice young man or woman from the Prosecutor's Office.

I spent $60, 000.00 in the '80 to get a No Bill in a political motivated persecution. My advice is don't get involved in a third party encounters, don't talk to the Police, and never trust the prosecutor, ; there job is to get a conviction regardless of the facts let alone the "truth" of the mater.

A Prosecutor can indict a Bologna sandwich and is used by Prosecutors to let police off.

Situation: A person is being sworn in to testify. The answer expected is "I do." What happens should the person reply negatively, no, I do not, etc?

In the state of IL or at least Cook County the DA has said we expect that you bring a guilty verdict no and if or buts.

I understand how a grand jury is supposed to work but still don't understand why. The DA doesn't need a grand jury indictment. In most cases, the DA decided what charges if any to bring. It's like when it's a case with a lot of public interest the DA will defer that decision to a grand jury so he can deflect responsibility for taking a case to trial or not.
Good example is Darren Wilson city cop in Ferguson Missouri

Don't do stupid things, with stupid people, at stupid times, in stupid places.
Those are the rules of avoiding 'accidental indictments'.

I am glad you actually read channel comments, regards, Alex.

You only mentioned “probable cause” once. A lot of people I know are not super clear on the difference between probable cause (grand jury) and beyond a reasonable doubt (petit jury). Maybe that would merit a separate video?

According to the law, it does have to be unanimous.
