Terminal Command to Disable Special Characters When Holding Down a Key (Repeat the key instead):
defaults write -g ApplePressAndHoldEnabled -bool false

Terminal Command to Enable Special Characteres When Holding Down a Key (default for Mac):
defaults write -g ApplePressAndHoldEnabled -bool true

New mac mini 2 owner and I will try this stuff out. After using Windows for decades, I, like you, was annoyed by what I would call "unnatural scrolling", and I already changed that. Thanks for these other suggestions.

Hey, maybe you can help me. I bought a mac studio with ventura, but was extremely disappointed that it doesn't have dashboard. Is there any way to get it on ventura?
