I'm apart of a Dwarven Themed Military RP Guild, We have Different Ranks we can achieve after certain things we do. We have a rank called Ironguard and one of the requirments to become one is to host a "Forging" Where you and the aid of your kinsmen, Craft you a signature weapon you name (You can choose any model to pick from).

The Brotherhood mentioned on the original Ashkandi is referencing the Brotherhood of the Horse, a group of knights from before the First War that Lothar was part of.

alternative title:
"top 10 mostly super flashy and lore heavy weapons for people who like to be avoided in serious RP"

As someone who roleplays for years on AD EU.. Strongly disagree with many of those weapons.
Some are really over the top and throw out "main character"-feels which is something any roleplayer should avoid.
Many Artifact weapons are among them. And other mentions like Taeshalach or The Infinite Hand are things that are so special that you can already predict how the roleplay is going to be with them. Just not many good picks you made.

Dont get me wrong: Standing out isnt wrong. But you need to have a skilled hand and some sense into what the community you play in is about.

I thought this was going to be a compilation of weapons that the mogs can really only be used to RP, like the torch transmog for one handed mace, or the shovel transmog, also for mace, or the pickaxes transmogs for axes

I mean within the RP community; you can use certain appearance of weapons but using RP addons can use the "first look" and dub them weapons that have a similar look. Take the Scythe of Elune for example. A druid can say, their scythe pays homage to Elune so thus it's blade was carved to resemble that of the Crescent Moon. I use the updated Quel'serrar blades and just quote them as elven blades. But trying to use the appearance and still using its lore name makes that a big NO

The low fantasy weapons are actually phenomenal for leveling characters visual in Roleplay where the stakes are lower. My first RP character initially was just a Dreanei seeking out hammer of his fallen brother, who was killed in the plaugelands during Arthas' Rise to prominence shortly before the start of Wrath. Even that Maul of Smiting, a relatively plane weapon, felt like a huge turning point for my guy when he finally got it.

One thing that gets left out a lot is the original starting zone gear for your race. Now that all appearances are warbound and you can mog greys, you can get lower fantasy race-themed gear sets (especially if you’re a post-Classic race) pretty easily from just doing the first 2-3 zones in a couple of hours.

I’ve never been into RP but wouldn’t you not want to use a well known item? Like I wouldn’t RP in middle earth as a bloke wielding the shards of narsil

Ashkandi, Greatsword of the Brotherhood is a reference to the Brotherhood of the Horse, an order of knights in service to Stormwind that once worked out of Karazhan. Its last wielder in lore was Anduin Lothar, after the Brotherhood had relocated to Stormwind Keep proper and integrated with other knightly orders into the Knights of Stormwind. It is confirmed, however, that it was not his primary weapon of choice as the king's Champion, as that was Great Royal Sword of Stormwind, which was confirmed to have been shattered in the final faceoff between Lothar and Orgrim Doomhammer.

I really wish the Drust scythe staves had a polearm variant as well. I really want to be able to transmog it on my DK, but I can't wield staves. I use one on my Druid.

On my human mage, i use the sheep's head version of Aluneth, the backstory being she got drunk one night after a performance and went around polymorphing all the rats she could find in stormwind so "THEY COULD BE BAAAUTIFUL TOO!", passed out, and woke up to find her staff had also been polymorphed somehow.
