Signing with labels is a scam. Multiple artists talked about it and the worst part is that it is extremely hard to put an end the contracts.

I'm an artist myself and I haven't seen a single penny from the 20 first songs I released.

I read the contract, I knew they were fucking me over but I thought "If this gets me some clout, it'll be worth it even if I only get a couple hundred bucks", but there were even smaller letters.

Turns out that every week, if the total earned was below €100, then the label keeps it.
Since my tracks were selling like 40 to 70 euros each weekly, I never qualified to get paid even though I was making them money.

I've lost just under 30k so far because of that contract, and I'm still nowhere near to having the recognition I thought I'd have.
