The Particle Wave explores the duality of matter and energy, with many particles suspended in a mesmerizing sine wave dance. It asks the question, "What's pulling the strings of the universe?"

Every row is individually motorized, controlled, and synchronized to achieve this unified choreography. Our engineers took inspiration from the hypnotic motion of the Skotch Yoke mechanism, a vintage engineering marvel that was used to drive pistons in steam engines over a century ago. Unlike modern gas pistons, it outputs a perfect sine wave when driven at a constant RPM.

The Particle Wave is a symphony of science and art! Come experience it yourself at the HMNS Matter & Motion Chemistry Hall.
