And I thought it was difficult learning how to cut and paste in Emacs, then I tried explaining it.

I like consult-yank-pop that comes with consult. I think it installs itself automatically (at least I could not find anything related to it in my config). When pressing M-y after yanking, nothing changes but pressing M-y by itself, you get a completing-read based interface of your kill-ring.

If you have pieces of text that you need to yank repeatedly you might also consider using emacs registers. And if I am not mistaken the stuff you put into registers are also session persistent. Not sure though since I am using emacs-server for weeks on end. 😄

Any reason for not using yank-pop (M-y) over browse-kill-ring?
