I learned to make tortillas from my mother-in-law who is from Mexico she would say your rolling them to early because they are springing back while you roll she always tells me to wait 20 minutes or more before rolling and don't add extra flour when rolling as they can make the tortillas break a tiny dusting is ok if needed but she says if you're dough is right then you shouldn't need any extra flour. Views on the road has tortilla recipes and tutorials that are very close to what my mother in law taught me. Loved your video

Anytime you freeze bread, be sure to include a paper towel or napkin in the bag. As it thaws, it absorbs moisture and makes a world of difference.

I love that not only is the video very helpful, but so are all the comments! We're all in this together <3

For freezing cookies, baking etc. I use one gallon icecream buckets. They stack neatly and I can have many layers, separated with parchment paper.

A little tip for the biscuits is that if you fold the dough over on itself before you cut it, it will make the easy split biscuits.

I also just make square biscuits with a pizza cutter because it’s easier. 😂😂

Fresh cranberries? Frozen fresh biscuits? That gorgeous looking applesauce? Cookie dough ready for cookies whenever you want? Fresh milk & honey bread turned into cheesy bagels? Hamburger & hotdog buns & fresh tortillas from scratch? Girl, you are making me drool over here!! I bet your kitchen always smells amazing!!

When it comes to storing food in the freezer, I just use the Ziploc (or store brand) freezer bags. Yes, it creates more waste but it takes up less room in my freezer & much easier to see what's what in the bags (plus I write what's in there on the bags).

My only issues with containers in the freezer is they take up so much room. I like the ziploc bags and I just write what it had in the bag like bread or pizza dough and reuse it. I understand getting sick of buying them though. My mother in law always used plastic containers like ice cream containers and such. Great video these are my favorite! I love pre making cookie dough especially around Christmas!

DONT FORGET WITH THE you freeze them.... Be sure to put some wax paper or parchment paper between them. Otherwise they will stick together! 💜

I am enjoying the silicone bags that are out now. I don’t use them for meat. But I suppose it would work if the meat is wrapped in parchment paper first. Maybe it would depend on the meat. Also, when I was raising my kids, the worst kid of all for nabbing too many snacks in one round was my husband. I had to hide what I prepped. I would save frozen vegetable bags and put the flash frozen cookies into washed out broccoli bags (or peas or carrots or something that he wouldn’t cook) then the plastic bag got more use than one and done and I had cookies ready for baking off a sheet whenever I wanted to treat the kids (husband too, I suppose).

I use silicone storage bags I got off of Amazon. I have also made beeswax bags with velcro strips. Both of those have worked well for me without taking up the space of the storage containers.

I like to double bag freezer stuff for more protection. I buy the cheaper thin bread bags, fill those and put inside the thicker ziploc freezer bags. The ziplocs stay clean and I reuse them over and over and over until they don't work anymore. I'm still throwing away the bread bags but it's less plastic.

Love your videos! Thank you for sharing

When I make applesauce I just peel and core and drop in ACV water in a clean bucket until I’m done with my apple load. Then I just run them through my food processor to smooth, taste and adjust sweetness or lemon juice, jar it up and can it. No ore-cooking. Tastes extremely fresh this way.

Put a damp towel under your tray so it doesn’t move on you. Love the idea of a tray to contain the flour on my counter. Will be looking for one of those at resale shops.

Adding cinnamon, sugar and nutmeg makes the BEST applesauce and a great topper for vanilla ice cream too!

i has used "reusable" bags also and they would break or rip first time out. and then one day i went to my husbands grandmas house and she had all her regular plastic bags hung up drying on her porch and i thought, i'll try that. and turns out the darn throw away bags last 100 times better than the fancy kind. i even have my kids bring back the bags they use for chips or what have you in their lunch boxes and we use them over and over. and i freeze in them and reuse also. seems the only reason we believe ziplocs are throw away is because they told us so.

I love that you made applesauce! I was always taught to remove cores - due to seeds contain arsenic. I leave peels on and cook on stove or instant pot - it gives a pretty pink color. If you would have left that cook longer, you would have had apple butter - very yummy too!!! Use your baggies and wash & reuse for same items - that is what I do. I get a couple uses and don't feel so bad.

I use ziplock bags, I wash and reuse them for the same products. Or I use Parchment Paper and foil or cling film. Freezer space is tight with produce and meat so whatever fits. Single serve meals I use reusable tubs with lids.😊 Thank you for sharing your recipes.😊

Rubbermaid Brilliance glass storage containers! The lids are airtight but easy to take on and off. And, if you want to microwave something in them, just leave the lids on with the little tabs on the sides popped up for ventilation. The glass is microwave, oven, freezer, and dishwasher safe. They cost a bit more, but they are so worth the investment. I love mine!
