I don't get what's up with the OEMs. on one hand, they agressively push type c (and I have no problem with that) but at the same time, they keep launching new laptops without even 1 type c port. what are we supposed to do? carry 2 flash drives everywhere? And then there's the desktop space where type c transition is at a snails pace.

still new to dell red on black accent laptop.. i have a question have you seen the black with red accent which is the opposite ? which color would you suggest does the black attract finger print ? how is the material like is it soft touch plastic ?

FYI. When you see a thunderbolt logo next to what you keep calling USB type C it should be self-explanatory. It is a T3 or Thunderbolt 3 which is the only way that dock can feed 3 monitors concurrently.
Please, correct. Latitude products by your own admission are great and tablet, unlike Surface, does have T3. Idea is that all Latitude or T3 products can use a dock interchangeably. Also, you can use an HP dock starting at $199 albeit Dell will not advertise it. T3 is an open protocolthat is being abused by brands to sell their own peripherals.
