New Warriors Vol 1 was such a surprisingly good read! I went in with no expectations and having never read any of it, absolutely loved it. In my never ever sell shelf. Stoked for vol 2!

I felt similar with Avengers: The Gathering. Different vibe than New Warriors but just great 90s soap opera nonsense!

I'd always wondered about New Warriors I might just pick up those volumes (I think omni 2 is coming out this year). I'm so bummed Byrne's She-Hulk omni is out of print. I really want to read that.

New Warriors is a hidden gem of a run and an Omnibus that is worth every penny. Seriously Fabian and Bagley did such a banger job. It has FireStar and Richard Rider: two of my favorite superheroes and Night Trasher. The book also tackled social and environmental issues but it wasn’t partisan but rather focused on the NWs and their youthful view on the world. That’s also something I like about the New Warriors: they actually like their powers. You contrast this with the New Mutants or X men you have a great deal of soap opera drama between members. New Warriors did have serious moments but in general the group did enjoy their powers and liked being superheroes. It’s basically Marvel’s teen titans. Highly recommend it. Can’t wait for volume 2.
