Labeling your quilts is so important. It allows you to reflex on the quilts you've made, provide information for reciptants of your quilts, and offer information about the content, care instructions, and more.

Here's what I include on my labels:
Title
My Name
Where I live
When project started
When project finished
Info. about project (why you made it, who machine quilted it, if applicable, etc.)
Pattern
Fabric Line Used
Content
Care Instruction

So glad that I watched this video. I have not been putting a label on my quilts because I felt intimidated by the process (speciality pens, neat printing, etc.). This is so quick that I don't have an excuse not to start getting labels done.

Great video, I have one quilt that was done except I forgot to label it. I will now make a label and will try your approach. Appreciate you sharing your process. Thanks again 🌷

Oh wow, just tried it on a baby puff blanket I am making for my soon to arrive grandson blanket and it looks adorable!! especially, with the borders from some of the fabrics. Thank you so much for an amazing tutorial so looking forward to seeing more from your creations.

I've cross stitched so many labels and never thought of this method. Thank you so much!

I really must start doing this. Soon I am sewing a quilt for my grandson. One time when he was over, he rang after school on a Friday and asked if he could spend the weekend with us, he commented on the quilt on his bed. He asked if I would make one for his bed at home. It would be really nice for this quilt to be labelled so he will always have a lasting memory of me and my love of sewing and sewing for him. Thanks for this Kris I wouldn't have known how to go about it.

Why didn’t I think of this??? For *years* I have struggled turning edges under on labels. Will be sending you good energy as I attach labels on 10 charity quilts (with laundering instructions) this week. Thank you!

Thank you for video, I am gathering info on quilt labeling. I have made a quilt for a family member who has been diagnosed with breast cancer, so this one is important, I feel. Thank you for info!!

I've only labeled a handful of quilts. I really should be doing this. Ty

Thanks for the information. This will be a lot easier than using machine embroidery to make the label

I learned a long time ago, that it is impossible to remember when you finish a quilt; therefore, I make lablels using the alphabet on my machine for every quilt. If I decide to gift it later, I add a fabric heart above my original label with the name of the recipient & additional info. I make my labels, backed with interfacing ... easy peasy. Until I watched this video, I did not think of using fusible interfacing. Thanks for the tip.

Great idea. I have terrible handwriting so this is great for me.

Whackadoodles! I giggled because… comments sometimes.

I am really inspired by your labels! It is something I need to work on. I am working on my goals for this year (not resolutions). I like making goals. This might need to be one. I like this idea because I gave up on writing labels with fabric markers. I used the ones from our box and they just aren’t crisp and I don’t like the result.

Great video!

Just in time! I've been racking my brain as to how to make the label I have in mind. I read that the ink jet labels fade after washing & it just occurred to me that the quilt I'm gifting will not be washed that often if at all. Thanks so much for taking the time to make this tutorial. Best one on this topic yet.
