A pre-launch news briefing on March 10 from NASA’s Kennedy Space Center in Florida previewed the Magnetospheric Multiscale (MMS) mission, set to lift off at 10:44 p.m. EDT Thursday, March 12 from Space Launch Complex 41 at Cape Canaveral Air Force Station in Florida. MMS will study magnetic reconnection, a fundamental process that occurs throughout the universe when magnetic fields connect and disconnect explosively, releasing energy and accelerating particles up to nearly the speed of light.

I can't begin to describe how great this channel is. There's nothing like watching a video about some new mission to get back some hope about the future and the motivation to study hard. No matter how bleak life and the future seems you guys just keep making incredible things happen everyday that have an unimaginable inspirational effect and make one forget for a while the little ups and downs of life. Thanks.

This seems like very important project, but somehow I was unable to understand what is the point of it.
I guess it is important for lab research on a small/micro scale and that's it, but in this video I was unable to find out towards what purpose. Anyway, no1 asked if those 4 satelites will be able to survive inside *magnetic reconnection* and if they can in any way disturb that specific process that occur.
In the end, I am sure this will be one huge step towards in learning new things that will in the future be useful for the new generations.
