To whoever made the “work wife” or “work husband”:

A “wife” or “husband” is someone a person is married to. A workmate helping a workmate at work is just that a WORKMATE or COLLEAGUE. There is no need to give it a title such as a “work wife” or a “work husband” because in my opinion (or most of the people who aren’t familiar with the word) it only gives the idea that one’s wife or husband has an affair at work.

Also, I think making a title as such that involves “wife” and “husband” without the marriage is taking the “wife” and “husband” titles lightly. Married couples have their roles and responsibilities that are only to each other.
