I rebuild, restore, create systems for vintage cars and Tesla, especially Tesla Seat Custom Mods to reduce seat and back and butt pain.

Please note I have improved the foam modification and I no longer build it this way. I now totally replace the Tesla foam with a better foam entirely. Otherwise it's a great video with details on seat bottom removal, modification, and installation.
Being a larger person with wider hips and likely the weight is a factor because we sit lower into the seat. It causes the wings, which are actually metal wrapped in thin foam to really hurt our hip bones and outer thigh bones. So, since I otherwise love my 2022 Tesla Model 3 Performance, I came up with a design and installed it into my car and then improved the process some more to help out another person.
Having tried many possible solutions, I came up with what I hope is final. The focus of this video is and Overview of the seat modification; installation of the modified lower seat cushion into the car on the metal frame, and a little coverage on the reverse, that is how to remove it. I cover removal in more detail in another video.

If you have back, butt, leg, foot pain, you might have back issues. Often some form of sciatica. I am not an expert. But I've dealt with that for many decades. Feel free to discuss your issues with me by calling me directly or sending a text. We have to fix the seat bottom and seat back. We need to modify the lumbar support, headrest and so forth, until you too can ride long periods of time in your Tesla.

thanks. any tips on removing and putting on the cushing while the seat is installed inside the car? i .e. theres very little space to work with on the centre console side of the seat. some people suggested inserting a thin and long screw driver?

do you think it would be possible to double up the metal springs in the base and flare out the side of the metal base slightly? i need to modify my seats due to the narrow width of the model 3 seat base, I had to do similar to an E-class merc as the springs were soft and drooped when under load

I am so sad. This is exactly the reason I decided not to buy Tesla. I tested the car 3 times because I really wanted it but just because of this problem I am going to buy another car.
