Visual Basic Programming - MenuStrip and Multiple Forms (Modal and Modeless)

Показать описание
⭕ Overview
In this video, I demonstrate how to create menus using Visual Studio's MenuStrip component. We start by setting up a new project called "Chapter 9 Menus" and adjusting the form's properties, such as changing the starting position to center.
Next, I introduce the MenuStrip component, found under the Menus & Toolbars section in the toolbox. Dragging the MenuStrip onto the form places it at the top, where menus typically reside. I show you how to rename the MenuStrip to something meaningful, like "MainMenu."
We then delve into creating a file menu. Clicking on the MenuStrip allows us to add menu items. I demonstrate how to name the first menu item "File," mimicking the structure seen in applications like Visual Studio. We explore the properties of the menu item, including how to add sub-items and customize their names.
Throughout the tutorial, I provide step-by-step instructions on replicating common menu structures. By following along, you will learn how to create intuitive and functional menus for your own applications, enhancing the user experience.
