In this video I am explaining you about the term Plant Systematics, Aim of Plant Systematics, importance and the terminologies related to the Systematics.
Plant Systematics is the important branch of botany that deals with the naming, classification and the evolutionary history of the plants while taxonomy only deals with the classification and naming of the plants or nomenclature of plants.
In this video I have told about Linnaeus who wrote the book Systema Naturae, that were first time published in 1735.
According to G.G. Simpson: Systematics deals with the study of diversity and kinds of organisms and relationship among them.
I have also explain the difference between taxonomy and Systematics.
The basic aim of the systematic is that it help us to reconstruct the evolutionary history of plants.
It also tells us about all the species present around us or on the planet.
It help us to construct the evolutionary tree.
It help us to organize all the information that we collect from the evolutionary history of an organisms that can be use to name the organism scientifically.
Evolutionary Biology
It is the sub discipline of biology that study the evolution process in detail and help us to understand the process of natural selection, descendants and process of Speciation.
Study of inheritance is called genetics while Molecular biology tell us about the structure and function of DNA, RNA and proteins.
Why is Systematics Important
1)It tells us about the pattern of diversity present on the earth.
2) It tell us information about living things and their evolutionary history.
