the first time I got a prawn suit, I felt so invincible I ran off with it (having no additional equipment). Then I subsequently fell into the abyss and was attacked by a gang of ghost leviathans at like 7, 000 meters all the way to 15000+ meters.

When I was new to Subnautica, the Reaper Leviathan scared the crap out of me. All I did next was build all the way to aurora. It took me 1 and a half months to get there

I remember one playthrough I got a time capsule with a knife in it(the good one) and the note said something along the lines of "this has served me well and I hope it will save your life one day", I carried that one knife with me the whole playthrough. one time I dropped it somehow, I freaked out and I spent a few mins franticly looking for it, I had no clue who it was from or the history of it but that knife had hard sentimental value. And when it came time to leave the planet I said goodbye and put that knife in a capsule with the same note as I found it, that one hit me hard, it was seriously more sadder than the cuttlefish goodbye. Sometimes I wonder if it had the same effect to someone else down the road.

A way to quickly get stuff from behind the aurora is to take your starter fire extinguisher and use it for the speed boost to avoid the leviathans attacks, it's an easy way to get blueprints quickly

6:40 when I hatched my first baby seamonkey he was the cutest baby boy on the planet. I loved him. I swam around with him in my arms in the alien containment. I then decided for us to go for a swim in the open sea around my base together. It hadn't even been ten seconds of him discovering he had the entire ocean to explore when a pengling ate him right out of my hands, murdering him in cold blood, leaving nothing but a small pool of green and yellow. I now have a base dedicated to my now deceased baby boy to hatch more SeaMonkeys run only by bioreactors filled with penglings. The murderer the only one to survive in its own small aquarium watching all of its siblings perish. They brought this upon themselves.

But what kind of monster would put a cuddlefish in a bioreactor? Pure evil :(

I built a base on the edge of the Grassy Plateau, next to the Dunes. There is a Reaper Leviathan that hangs out just far enough away to where it doesn't aggro on me, but I can still see and hear it. I plan on killing it with my Prawn Suit, utilizing its drill and grappling arms. Worst case, the Prawn Suit is destroyed, I have to reload my save and try again. Best case, I kill and scan it first try, without dying. I will update my progress in the future. Wish me luck

Edit: HOLY SHIT, I ACTUALLY DID IT! I got the Reaper Leviathan's attention and started drilling it with my Prawn Suit as it was attacking me. As soon as it let go, I ran under my base for repairs. While I was repairing, the Reaper started attacking my Seamoth. As soon as it let go, I quickly docked my Seamoth into the Moonpool. I went back outside to finish repairs. The Reaper tried to attack me again, but was blocked by my base, I whipped out my Stasis Rifle and froze it. I then resorted to my Thermal Blade to finish the job. I am so proud of myself! I killed a Fuck-Mothering Reaper Leviathan

11:14 I had a dream a while ago, in which I fell into the ocean and just kept sinking faster and faster, until it got pitch black, then suddenly, something opened 6 eyes in front of me, and I fell into it's massive hand and was able to breathe again.
It was terrifying, but I never wanted to get back into a dream this bad.

Bro, I got the prawn suit today and was testing it out. I of course did feel unstoppable, so I felt safe exploring some new areas. I was probably about 300 meters deep running around on the ocean floor when I saw a shadow in front of me. It was a reaper, but It was above me and some distance away, so I didn’t immediately scram. Keep in mind I had my headphones on with pretty loud volume. After a little bit, I had turned my back to the reaper, and he snuck up right behind me and screeched right in my ear. I jumped so bad that I almost threw my mouse off the table. Safe to say I will be avoiding those guys from now on.

i remember (very long ago) playing subnautica and going out to the place that the islands are now, and i said that that way as the islands at that time were just the very not detailed rock texture terrain, anyways i found a leviathan and being a new player i wanted to scan everything, and not knowing what leviathans do... i tried to scan it then swam away cos i got bored.
