James and Daniel are totally dope at creating b roll sequences!
I really agree on the Sound Design, it's SO damn important.

Thanks for your view of things man!

You point about varying the type of shot is such a good one - and something I often forget to remember. Or I remember, but then forget, and then... forget it. Great point!

This is such great timing! Working on a 1 minute short film and this is just what I needed to hear! Thank you, Sidney!

Great video bud. Honestly the fact that you had cool buttery clips supporting the dialogue actually makes those clips “b-roll”. Without the dialogue it’s a-roll... or key storyline footage. Daniel’s video was start-to-finish footage of how to make a fresh salad. Essentially it was all main storyline footage without b-toll. If he would hav had a voiceover describing the felling you get while exercising your culinary skills in the kitchen then all those clips become b-roll. :). Make sense? Oh...You have a beautiful family !

Nice sequence. Take your own advice on the "bookends." The sequence didn't feel like there was a start or finish. Next time maybe open with wide kitchen reveal and end with the food plated or one of your kids taking a bite? Just a thought.... great stuff tho!
