Haste is just WAY more scary. Hearing him SLOWLY come towards you, by going trough Floors wals and ceilings is just so scary.

Goatman is just so fucking terrifying from a second person perspective it doesn’t look that scary but when you’re actually in the game and you hear him screaming in you’re ear as he approaches you from a direction you don’t know you feel that it’s genuinely terrifying

Haste is king of doors scariness. Like theres like a tense song after he comes, when he appears is like u are in a nightmare u cant almost see nothing on the start, the screaming noises scare u as hell and when he got u, you scare so much. I bassicaly leave when hes coming of the scariness

haste makes you get scared due to him slowly moving towards you with that smile
goatman makes you panic as you cant outrun him
unlike haste though goatman cant be stopped to chase you since only flashing him will only cause him to respawn on his spawn point
conclusion:
haste = fear
goatman = panic/challenge (people literally wait for the timer to go zero and run with goatman chasing them)

Haste relies on auditory horror, the sounds, the music, not to mention the inevitable dread.
Goatman relies on the sheer adrenaline you feel rushing through the last few rooms, occasionally stopping to flash him to get a few more seconds.
Both are good in their own ways, they just have different styles of horror.
